About Us
We, at Howl At The Moon Malamutes, are raising the best possible family addition for you. All of our adult Alaskan Malamutes are AKC and/or ACA registered. We breed our Alaskan Malamutes for health and great family characteristics. Many of our puppies grow to be majestic Giant Alaskan Malamutes. Our Alaskan Malamute puppies would make an exceptional addition to your family. We raise all of our Alaskan Malamute puppies in our home, not in kennels outside, to insure the health and social adjustment of your new family addition. Alaskan Malamutes are wonderful family dogs, and by instinct, a pack animal. They are also great with children. They are very intelligent and know it. All of our Alaskan Malamute females have at least one year off before they will be allowed to have another litter. We will not breed unless we have sufficient interest for that particular litter. We place a great deal of pride in our Alaskan Malamutes and subject them to examinations and certifications of which most other breeders will not cover the high cost. We have all of our Alaskan Malamutes get both of the major health certification for this breed through the OFA, Hips and Cardio clearance.
All of our Alaskan Malamutes are indoor/outdoor pets. As soon as our mommies get pregnant they are brought inside to lounge around the house and get pampered for the entire pregnancy to insure her health and comfort.
Whelping/Weaning Areas
We have custom designed whelping and weaning areas that we made just to accommodate our Alaskan Malamute mothers and newborn pups. You can see our custom designed whelping boxes pictured above.
We raise our Alaskan Malamute puppies in our home until they reach four weeks of age, then we transfer them to our custom designed puppy houses where they learn potty training through a doggy door. Our puppy houses have full climate control. We socialize the Alaskan Malamute puppies throughout the entire day to ensure that each one can become the best possible family addition for you.
We give our Alaskan Malamutes and puppies as much love, care and attention as possible. Our veterinarian gives our Alaskan Malamute mothers a health check before breeding, during their pregnancy, and after whelping to ensure the best possible health for our dogs and your new Alaskan Malamute puppy.
